Chronicles of a Procrastinating Novelist Volume 25: Insecurity Fairy
Clingy, naggy, and as ever-present as Inspiration Fairy is absent, Insecurity Fairy is a fear-mongering chatterbox with an expansive imagination locked into disaster mode. She'll muscle in on conversations where she's not wanted and will fill every silence left by the rest of the fairy gang. She'll sour any positive situation and has a grudge against self-esteem, so much so she'll go after it with a pickaxe at any opportunity.
The flip-side of her constant negativity is she exhausts herself. And, lacking any courage of her own, is cowed by the presence of real achievement and encouragement.
Just remember not to feed her. She's a glutton.
