Chronicles of a Procrastinating Novelist Volume 34: Twin Moment of Mutual Social Media Rage

Over the years of attempting to create an online presence, the rather specific frustration of the difference in attention paid to certain types of posts has become a point of fury tinged frustration. Recently, upon starting an Instagram account, my sister encountered a nigh identical phenomenon. She chronicled the reaction in cartoon form. I'm shortcutting the blog this week to share. I will provide a text version of the captions:

1. Hours, blood, sweat, tears poured into piece (piece being fiction or drawing, pick your twin)

2. Shares piece to social meida. 0 comments, 0 shares. 2 likes, from your mother and your sister.

3. Takes a selfie, or draws a bored scribble, posts that to social media.

4. Likes, shares, comments come pouring in.

5. WHY???

6. We're still each other's biggest fans, and that's okay.

Thak you for readng/ viewing,

B
